I'm kind of obsessed with crocheting lace. This is also for the holiday sale and for my Etsy when I make more.

HOLIDAY SALE

Haven't posted in a while... Been busy with an upcoming holiday sale. Felt animal pins and irish crochet flower hair clips!

BAG

This is a bag I sewed by hand for my auntie. The patterned fabric was my grandmother's.

PADDED ENVELOPES

Why make padded envelopes with bubble wrap made out of plastic? Why not pad envelopes with paper? Here's how I did it:






Make an envelope out of thick paper, like a paper bag from the supermarket, or use a pre-made one lying around the house.

I used this template from Country Living and modified it to my dimensions, but any will do.

Tear out and crumple old magazines, paper, newspaper, etc. I used a page and a half here. Tape the corners and the sides of the paper on the envelope making sure the paper has lots of slack to pad what ever you put inside. When you add padding to the bottom flap, leave space in the margin or you won't be able to glue the envelope together.

After gluing the flaps together (I did it with a glue stick) and making sure to add lots of pressure to make the glue stick, it's done! A padded envelope made with scraps lying around the house.

INTERLOCKING CROCHET

This is interlocking crochet to THE EXTREME!! I saw interlocking crochet in a book at the bookstore and I thought the concept could go farther than the patterns in the book. I made these bags inspired by Hawaiian quilts. It's reversible.

LACE LANYARD

Lace lace lace lace lace. This is a lace lanyard. I really like the camera straps you can find in Japan that are made of leather-like material, patterned cloth, and lace. There's a good balance of texture, color, and pattern. Yumm. It inspired me to make a lace lanyard.

CROCHET COLLAR

I'm thinking of getting back into Etsy. Maybe I'll man up and deal with shipping.

PETER PAN COLLAR

I made this removable peter pan collar for my friend. I forgot that sewing two pieces of cloth together makes a form smaller than the pattern. Whoops. It still works, though.

ROSES

These are cloth roses I made with my friend's scrap fabric, a glue gun, and some beads. You can wear them on a hair clip, hairband, headband, brooch, bracelet, necklace... I think you get the idea. (The two are actually separate pieces.)

ROAR

Some stuffed animals I made. Hand sewed, hand crochet. Original patterns.

BUMBLEBEE

Look! Look! I crocheted Bumblebee from Transformers! He may not be the most handsome, but he is 10.5 inches tall with pose-able arms and perpetual thumbs ups.

LACE CUFFS

I crochet these Victorian lace cuffs a while ago but never had the time to photograph them. I love to crochet and I even make my own patterns, such as this one. I am working on other crochet projects at the moment, so I will post more once I finish them.

BLUSH GLOVES

Crochet fingerless gloves for a friend. I had a lot of vintage-looking ideas, but I don't think she is that much of a vintagey girl.
